Overall, Plaza Borinquen is recognized as a must-visit destination for those seeking genuine Caribbean flavors and warm hospitality in the Antelope Valley area.
Literally better than the food I ate in Puerto Rico itself. The canoe (pictured) had soft sweet plantain, which I prefer to the crunchy unsweet variety. And the flavor of the pork, never had pork packed with that much flavor, both the Plato Tipico and the Pernil Empanada. Yummy yum! The shrimp empanada they ran out of filling and the chef made it on the spot, talk about fresh! Never had a mango frappe before, boy was that good too, with fresh mangos. Everything super fresh super tasty, cannot confirm since unfortunately haven’t tried everything on the menu (surely wish I have!) but highly doubt you could order anything bad off the menu. Best food from a restaraunt I’ve had in a long while. Probably because it felt like a family preparing from scratch rather than thawing food from a freezer.
Absolutely delicious! Great customer service, great tasting food, great price. It’s very difficult to find a good Cuban sandwich place around here, but this place is just about perfect in every way possible! Highly recommend!
Since I couldn't make it to Puerto Rico this weekend, going to Plaza Borinquen for dinner was the next best thing! I had the chicken stew with plantains and a mango fruit drink with Puerto Rican music playing in the background. The vibe and atmosphere felt authentic, the food was great, and I can't wait to come back! If you're in the Antelope Valley, Lancaster or Palmdale, make sure to stop by. They're located in the strip mall across from Home Depot in West Lancaster. Day 2. I can't back the next day to Tue something else because it was so good. This time I had a shrimp empanadas which was delicious. I then had the Pollo Empanizado with beans, which was delicious ! I vl can eat here every day!
Everything was amazing!!! We had the mango frappe, yuca bites, sweet plantains, pollo guisado and the skirt steak. We will definitely be back!! Only got one picture because we were too busy stuffing our faces!
Puerto Rican ???????? Food at the Plaza Borinquén Restaurant is the Bomb and so is the owner Jessica Pacheco. I remember when I first tried the food, I said "Wow, I'm impress". I am so hooked not only on the food but the person that Jessica is, I call her Friend. I'm there almost everday, Lol!!! In saying this, If you are reading this post and you have not tried Plaza Borinquén, It is a must. Go Now, Run, Taste and See for yourself
Drove up from LA to try them. This plaza was worth the hour plus drive by far. We had the mofongos ( churasco and chicharon de pollo), the kids had the chicken and rice and beans kids meal, and we got sorullitos, empanadas de pizza y tostones. Every single dish was 10/10. Everything was fresh, delicious and so so flavorful. I felt transported back home to the island. Can’t wait to come back up and try the deserts next!
One of the best restaurants in town!! We ordered the Carne Frita and the pulled pork plantain sandwich. They all tasted amazing!! Highly recommended. And the owner is so kind and friendly, I can already imagine being friends with her at first met. The dining environment is great and clean, very enjoying dining there. This restaurant gave us a wonderful night.
I was in the area working and stopped for lunch to visit for the 1st. Jessica the owner and cook was super pleasant. I’ve had Puerto Rican food in Southern California at many places but this place by far served up the best tasting island meals with true home cooked flavors. I had the Churrasco Mofongo, Beef & Cheese Empanada and took home a Plato Tipico(arroz con gandules, pernil(slow roasted pork) Fried Plantains and steamed yucca with garlic sauce. This is must try if you’re in the area.
